Inside the sensor lab at the University of Windsor, two teams of students are putting the finishing touches on a pair of robotic cars so smart, they don’t need drivers.

The vehicles will be entered in the sixth annual Robotic Racing competition, to be held in July at the St. Denis Centre. The event draws teams from universities across Canada and the United States and awards $5,000 to the winners, said Siddantha Ahuja, organizer of the event.
